Fix utf8x.def Dependency Error
How to fix the "! LaTeX Error: File `utf8x.def' not found." error.
Here is how I fixed the "! LaTeX Error: File `utf8x.def' not found." error running OS X Snow Leopard using Fink (the Debian-style package manager):
fink install unicode-tex
Simple, wasn't it? Took me 2 hours to figure that out. If you have that problem with other distributions or operating systems, you will want to install unicode-tex with the native package manager.
